My Story
Hi, I'm Norma.
I believe that life is about passion and hard work.
I have been blessed to practice both: growing and making unique chilli products, while continuing to care for patients as a nurse.
My chilli journey started when illness played havoc in my life a few years back.
After endless specialists' appointments with minimal relief, I took action and went back to simple foods. I cut out processed foods and started growing my own produce, including jalapeños (hence the business name).
Chillies added flavour to my plain diet.
Today I grow a number of chilli varieties in the beautiful South Australian Fleurieu region.
My curiosity to discover new and complex flavours has now led me to create a delicious range of award-winning mustards, jams, sauces, pastes, pickles, relishes, chutneys, salts, dukkah, rubs, mixes and confectionery using natural and local ingredients wherever possible.
What's my secret to amazing flavours?
Home-grown chillies and hand-made products, created in small batches.
Our chillies are processed within hours of being hand-picked to preserve the integrity and lock in all the amazing flavours.
