Life is about passions and hard work.
I have been blessed to practice both: growing and making unique chilli products and continue to care for patients as a nurse.
My chilli journey started when illness played havoc in my life a few years back. After endless specialists' appointments with minimal relief, I took action and went back to simple foods. I cut out processed foods and started growing my own produce including jalapeños (hence the business name).
Chillies added flavour to my plain diet.
Today I grow a few varieties of chillies in South Australia's Fleurieu region.
My curiosity to discover new and complex flavours has now led me to create award winning mustards, jams, sauces, pastes, pickles, relishes, chutneys, salts, dukkah, rubs, mixes and confectionery using natural and local ingredients where possible. Check out the Award Winners' page!
What's my secret to amazing flavours? Home grown chillies and hand-made products in small batches.
Our chillies are processed within hours of being hand-picked to preserve the integrity and lock in flavours.
